Aqua Center Hours & Details

Aqua Center will open for 2023 Season–May 25, 2024

HOURS FOR PUBLIC SWIM 
Sunday-Friday –1:00- 5:00 pm & 6:00-8:00 pm
Saturday – 1:00-6:00 pm *Hours may be extended depending on scheduled events.

Lap Swim/aerobics: $2.00 per visit. Mon.-Fri. 5-6 p.m. and Mon.-Friday. 12:15-1:00 p.m.  Kick-boards will be available upon request.. Aerobics are offered M/W/F from 12-1pm when we do NOT have public swim lessons or a swim meet. (see schedule on website for details) Swim lessons are June 5-30, M-F. No lap swim on weekends due to pool parties. 

Public Swim Lessons: Swim lessons are available for the first 3 weeks of June. Classes subject to change due to availability.  $50 (5) 45min. sessions. Swim lesson times: 10:15-11am; 11:15-12pm; 5-5:45pm.  Refunds only applied to cancellations that cannot be made up by the city due to pool scheduling conflict.

Private Swim Lessons: Can be requested with a trained swim instructor.  No refunds will be given.  Please contact (402)269-0370 during normal pool hours and schedule with a certified swim instructor.  If looking for recommendations, we are happy to help you out. $25/30min session with an approved guard. Private Lessons will be scheduled around events and can be done on weekends.

POOL PARTIES can be booked on Saturday’s from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. or 6:30-8:30 p.m. and Sunday’s from 10:30 am-12:30 pm. or any other time the Pool Manager or P&R Director designates.  $150 flat rate to be paid in advance.  Contact City Hall for more information & to book!! – 402-269-2173  (NO pool parties to be booked by guards at the Aqua Center)  All parties to be booked at Syracuse City Hall M-F or by email: parksandrec@syracusene.com Due to inclement weather, you may reschedule or request a refund.

Pool passes will be available for purchase at the Aqua Center during regular pool hours.

Gift cards available for purchase during the holidays.

10 Punch Pass – $45.00 (does not carry over)

Daily Pass – $5.00/day

Aqua Lessons

Aqua Lessons:

Public GROUP lessons $50/session 

1 session consists of 5 (45min.) sessions.

Class size is limited to ensure quality instruction for your child!! In scheduling lessons, remember our pool is heated. We may add or change classes upon demand!!

Payment will need to be made 10 days prior to first class to guarantee your spot.

PRIVATE LESSONS: $25/half hour.  Staff must have gone through a minimum of one full week instruction by a certified instructor prior to be approved to give swim lessons privately at the Syracuse pool.

Aqua Lessons – Classes & Descriptions

Aqua Babies: 0-2 years old

Parent & Me Class where you swim with your child. ($30 extra to get a lifeguard to be with your child the entire time.) Bubbles are used with participants. Learn to control bubble through games and laps. If the child is young, they may need to go through this class more than once. Zero depth and shallow water.

Level 1 

New swimmers focusing on tummy floats, back floats, and swim safety !

Zero depth and shallow water.  Parents may be asked to leave if the child is not focused on lessons with parents in sight.

Level 2 Exploring the Water & Water Skills: Ages Vary

Swimmers will focus on the FUNdamentals of swimming (how to do strokes and kicks) !

Level 3 Stroke Readiness: Ages Vary

Level 3: Swimmers should be able to swim on their own, looking for help on perfecting their strokes !

Level 4 Stroke Development & Refinement: Ages Vary

Speedy Fast swimmers looking for tips and tricks on diving, flip turns, and more!
